Pampered Chef? Who are they? Sounds like a posh way of describing a rich chef!
A business specifically aimed at kitchenware started by a lady named Doris Christopher in 1980. Since the attraction of billionaire Warren Buffet, Pampered Chef has been able to convert itself into a multimillion dollar corporation that spans the United States, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom. For those who don’t know who Warren Buffet is, he is one of histories most successful business men being a primary shareholder and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, and recently being ranked richest man of 2009 before his mass donation of billions of dollars to charity dropping him down to second most richest man behind Bill Gates with a Net Worth of billion.
Due to its inability to keep pace with changing standards in the industry, the PamperedChef biz was sold ownership to Berkshire Hathaway in 2002 and has since been on the rise.
What is their product?
One of the most important aspects to take into consideration when wanting to join the Pampered chef Opportunity is their products, and I’ll explain why later on in this review.
Pampered Chef Sell a range of Kitchenware products ranging from a vast set of knifes to different array of peelers, everything to make your cooking experience that much better, easier and enjoyable.
Since the addition of Berkshire Hathaway, Pampered Chef has now extended its product range to home cooking recipes, special gift sets and gift certificates.
How does their business opportunity work and can they be trusted?
Most certainly! The Pampered Chef opportunity is the real deal, and in fact, they have one of the most unique compensation plans compared to your usual multi-level marketing company (this is not to say it’s a good plan, I’m merely stating the uniqueness of their compensation plan).
Unlike the majority of MLM companies of today’s age, it is still mandatory that you hold house parties with Pampered Chef, as it’s the only way to make money with them. So taking you back to what I said above, about the importance of the product and whether you have passion for that sort of pastime, because you’re required to host house parties in order to sell or recruit people into your business, I would suggest or it helps to at the very least have some form of passion of enjoyment towards cooking, as you are required to show off the functionality and versatility of the product via cooking.
The recipes to be made are picked by the hostess during which you as the ‘chef’ must then cook and explain how the different tools function and what makes them so versatile. Once cooked, whilst the guest have a taster the ‘chef’ has a chance to collect orders, book parties and answer questions.
You then make a percentage of sales made at the party, and a percentage of the sales made by those you recruited to your business opportunity.
As part of joining them, for a fixed price Pampered Chef provides Consultant kits that are high-quality and provide multifunctional products, catalogs, training materials, business management software, professional business supplies to market your business, and a tote to easily carry products and catalogs to and from Shows. They have two Consultants Kits available, one being priced at with a value of 0 and the other kit being 5 with a value of 0.
Should I join the Pamperedchef biz?
That, my friend, is completely up to you. But ask yourself this, do you enjoy cooking? Do you like to carry around products or for that matter host parties and cook?
Personally, due to less money being paid via commissions made by your downline the further you move up in the company, meaning making residual income is not possible, I have no interest in this sort of Multi-level Marketing company. The only way to make money is to keep selling, so if you enjoy retail sales then sure go for it. Something to note, your pay does increase per sale the further you go up the companies rankings.
If you’re looking to make an income from building your business downline and advancing in the company then Pampered Chef is not the opportunity for you. On the other hand, if you like to make an income from direct selling, and through increase of commissions payed by recruiting people and producing large sales on a monthly basis then it might just be what you’re looking for.
